Kenny Vance and The Planotones open up their 'basement' rehearsal studio for an intimate evening of song and stories spanning Vance's illustrious 50-year career and the music that has been its unique soundtrack including "Looking For An Echo", "Cara Mia", "She Cried", "Only In America" and more. It is a story only Kenny Vance and The Planotones can tell with a historical perspective framed by a multi-faceted career that began on the Brooklyn street corners and rose through Jay and The Americans, The Brill Building, Vance's stint as musical director on Saturday Night Live, and numerous film-driven classics such as Eddie and The Cruisers, Hairspray and the movie in which The Planotones were born, American Hot Wax.

Kenny Vance and The Planotones are among today's great vocal pop musicians. The group, Kenny Vance, Johnny Gale, Kurt "Frenchy" Yahjian, Jimmy Bense, keyboardist Chip Degaard, and Tony Gallino on Drums, redefine oldies with vocal authority and freshness. As exemplified by their signature song "Looking For An Echo", their material is influenced by the music of the 50's and 60's, but they consistently bring a unique and musically sophisticated point of view. In this sense they are classicists, opening the
eyes of a new generation to a rich historical musical style. With their cool and sultry musical approach, they give a gift to those who are discovering them for the first time!

In 2002, Kenny Vance was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame. In 2007, he was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall Of Fame in conjunction with the release of "Countdown To Love ". And with them are very special "secret" guests... celebrating their own 50th Anniversary, who had a number one hit, "You Belong To Me"... can you guess who they are?
