Dust off the old bell bottoms and platform shoes, The Boogie Wonder Band wants you in full '70s garb and ready to dance when the group performs Friday, March 2nd at 8:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Theatre.
Bassist Boogie Cindy said, "We encourage people to come dressed up — in bell-bottoms, with afros [laughs]. We expect everybody to get up and have fun and forget everything at least for one evening — to go back in time and have a blast."
The Montreal-based Boogie Wonder Band has performed together since 1996, six hit records under their belt, and features percussionist Eddie Toussaint, trumpeter Dr. Tony Fever, drummer Luke Andersen, guitarist Jack Wrangler, singer Isaac "The Jam" Washington, saxophonist Marky de Sax, singer Kat Brown, keyboardist Cadillac Jones and singer Stardust.
They play everything from the Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band and Donna Summer, to the Ohio Players, Rick James and Earth Wind and Fire. So dust off those old bell bottoms and platform shoes... and get ready to dance to the biggest hits from the '70s and '80s!
