Hailing from Queens, New York, Dougie Almeida spent most of his adult life as a corporate presenter for one of the largest financial planning firms in the country. His specialty was taking lifeless insurance presentations and transforming them into works of comic art. In his spare time, he fought as an ISKA Heavyweight Muay Thai Kick boxer, retiring at 10-0 and earning the title “Always Dangerous”. So, what do you get when you cross an inventive corporate executive with a retired kick boxer? A stand- up comedian, of course! Prior to taking the stage, Dougie gauges his audience, reaches into his vault and prepares his onslaught of humor. Once on stage, he delivers blow after blow of hilarity, hitting the audience with punch line after punch line. His wit and stage presence is second to none. Dougie appeared twice on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on the segment, “Wall of America” & starred in recent FOX Sports social media campaign for FOX BET. From clean to PG-18, Andy explores his views on life as a new stepdad and his middle-aged misadventures that have involved everything from dodging sugar hookers at the grocery store to waxing a pet hamster! He’s entertained audiences of all ages at comedy clubs, VFW’s, bars, private events, and corporate parties. Seen on Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, and Prime, Andy has appeared on “Ozarks,” “Sweet Magnolias,” and alongside Kelsey Grammer in 2022’s “High Expectations.” His one-man shows have SOLD OUT all over the country, making him one of the most exciting new headliners to look out for.
Named in and featured on the cover of 2024’s book entitled “America’s Best Bar Comics,” Andy has also consistently been a top finalist in The World Series of Comedy in 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024. He was also a finalist in 2022 at the Atlanta Comedy Awards as Atlanta’s Funniest Clean Comic and recently performed at The Nashville Comedy Festival in 2024.
