The Sunrise Theatre is owned and operated by the City of Fort Pierce.
Our season begins in October and ends in May. During the summer, we host a Children’s Summer Camp, rentals, and we host free movies.

The Main Theatre has 1214 seats and our Black Box Theatre holds anywhere between 145-210 patrons depending on the set up.

Ticketing

All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable. For questions, please email boxoffice@sunrisetheatre.co or call the Box Office at (772) 461-4775 during box office hours.

Credit card purchases are automatically refunded back to the card used for purchase, as long as the purchase was within 90 days. If the purchase was made more than 90 days ago, please contact the Box Office at (772) 461-4775 during box office hours to receive a refund check or a house credit.
Yes, you can present your downloaded tickets on your mobile device or add them to your Apple Wallet/Google Pay. As long as there is a barcode on your ticket, we are able to admit you into the Theatre.
We offer a 10% military discount on select shows with proof of military ID. Students and teachers can receive a 50% off rush ticket to select shows on the day of performance. Select shows may have child or member discounts. All children are required to have a ticket, regardless of age.
No, fees are the same whether tickets are bought online, over the phone, or in person.
The Sunrise Theatre offers a 10% discount on groups of 20 or more on select shows. For more information, please reach out to the Box Office Manager at (772) 467-4128.
Student/Teacher Rush tickets may be available the day of the performance with a valid ID. Call the Box Office the day of the show for more information. Rush = 50% off.
The hottest tickets in town will make your event a success and are available for your organization’s next fundraiser. Please call the Administrative Assistant at (772) 467-4124.
The Sunrise is looking for a community of volunteers to work with us each season. You must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer and also be available to assist at an event at least twice a month. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the Sunrise Theatre, you will need to fill out an application and attend an orientation training season. As a volunteer you will be contributing to the Sunrise Theatre’s operation, reputation, and success. To volunteer as an usher or in our administrative office(s), email info@sunrisetheatre.com.

Performance Policies

Flash photography, video recording, and cell phone use is strictly prohibited at the Sunrise Theatre. Please be respectful of other patrons around you and put phones & devices away. Patrons may be asked to leave the theatre if photography or recording leads to the disruption of the performance. Please turn off or put personal communication devices on silent mode prior to entering the Sunrise Theatre.
Performances begin at the advertised time. Please allow proper time for parking and collection of tickets. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management or at the discretion of the artist.
Bags are restricted to small purses or clutches. Bags must fit in an 8″ x 10″ area upon entry. Backpacks, diaper bags, tote bags, and large purses are prohibited. All bags are subject to search.
Accessible seating can be purchased online at the Box Office. Lobby restrooms are accessible. Wheelchair lift available at the lobby level of the Theatre. Hearing assistance devices are available at the Box Office. Please see an user or the House Manager for more information. For any other accessibility needs, please reach out to the Box Office Manager at (772)-467-4128.

Performance Questions

Doors open about an hour before show time. Please allow proper time for parking, collection of tickets, and concessions. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.
There are two parking garages in downtown Fort Pierce that are free to patrons. The 2nd Street Parking Garage is located at 271 S. 2nd St, Fort Pierce. The Orange Avenue Parking Garage is located at 100 N. US1, Fort Pierce. Parking behind the Sunrise Theatre is strictly prohibited, and cars may be towed without the proper identification.

No. For safety, we do not honor a lap policy at our Theatre. All patrons, of all ages, must have a ticket to the event.

No outside food or drink. No flash photography. No video recording. No bags larger than 8”x10”.
During performances, we have at least one full bar open that also sells snacks (chips & candy).
There is no dress code, but it is always recommended to dress up depending on the show you see.

Health & Safety

The Sunrise Theatre follows the official local health guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety protocols. Social distancing is limited, and masks remain optional. These guidelines are subject to change. By visiting the Sunrise Theatre, you voluntarily assume all risks related to the exposure of any illness. Please do not visit the Theatre if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms; reach out to the Box Office for your options.
In case of fire, please remain calm and follow the direction of the usher staff. Emergency exits are marked clearly, and audience members will be directed to the safest exit.
First aid kits are available for patron use at the lobby level. Please see a house manager.
Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the Sunrise Theatre, including e-cigarettes and vaping.

History

The theatre officially opened on August 1st, 1923.
The Theatre was remodeled in the late 90s & early 2000s and reopened in 2006.

Membership

Memberships are valid from the 1st of July to the 30th of June.

Print At Home Tickets FAQs

What are Print at Home tickets?
 ‘Print-At-Home’ tickets are the fastest way to receive your tickets! ‘Print-At-Home’ tickets are paper tickets that you print yourself. Each ticket has a unique barcode that is scanned at the entrance to the event. You MUST print out each ticket. Forget standing in line at “will call”; just present your ‘Print-At-Home’ ticket and gain quicker access to your event. ‘Print-At-Home’ tickets are sent to you as an attached PDF file. Save the attachment (s) on your computer and print them at your convenience. You will receive 2 chances to print your tickets via a link. The first is found on your confirmation receipt at time of purchase. The second is found in the confirmation email sent to you. You must print out ALL the ticket(s) in the pdf file and bring them to the event, NOT the confirmation receipt. There is one page to print out per ticket.
You will need a free program Adobe Reader to open the attachment.
REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!! Some email accounts such as gmail.comyahoo.com, hotmail.commsn.com and aol.com immediately put emails from our ticketing service into a spam/bulk mail folder. Your confirmation email is coming from Sunrise Theatre sunt@choicecrm.net
Don’t forget to print ALL your Print-At-Home tickets! If you order more than one ticket, you MUST print EVERY ticket!
 It’s fast, simple and convenient! Here’s how it works: Select Choose Print at Home as your delivery method. Buy Purchase your ticket(s). Print
Only the first scan of the barcode on your ticket will be allowed entry. Make sure you keep the printed ticket in a safe place like you would cash, and protect it just like you would any other ticket! If more than one copy were to arrive, the barcode scanner will alert the usher that the ticket has already been scanned. If there is a dispute, the purchaser’s name and the last four-digits of the credit card are used to determine the owner of the ticket.
We can resend a ‘Print at Home’ ticket link from the Box Office. If you reissue your Print-At-Home tickets, your old tickets will be voided. You must bring the most recent tickets to the event; otherwise you will be denied entry.
 It’s important to keep your ‘Print-At-Home’ tickets in a safe place after printing. Only the first set of tickets will be allowed entry into the event. If you think someone has duplicated your tickets, please contact the box office immediately. Make sure you keep it in a safe place like you would cash and protect it just like you would any other ticket. If more than one copy is presented, the barcode scanner will alert the attendant that the ticket has already been scanned. If there is a dispute, the purchaser’s name appears on each ticket. The purchaser’s name and the last four-digits of the credit card are used to determine the owner of the ticket.
